Black Lime Cobbles are particularly effective where a darker, more dramatic paving finish is wanted. The 200 × 100mm format works well across larger areas, while the smaller 100 × 100mm setts are ideal for tighter layouts, borders, curves and decorative detailing.
Because this is a natural limestone product, variations in colour, mineral markings, dimensions and surface texture should be expected. Mixing setts from different parts of the pack during installation will help distribute the natural variation evenly across the finished area.
Installation
Install over a correctly prepared and compacted sub-base appropriate to the intended use and site conditions. Secure edge restraints, suitable bedding, drainage and jointing are important for long-term performance. For areas subject to vehicle traffic, the supporting construction should be designed for the expected loading.
