Complete 2 Car Driveway Pack

Create a complete two-car block-paved driveway without having to calculate and source all the principal materials separately. This pack is designed to cover a finished driveway area of up to approximately 27.5m².

A 5.5m wide × 5.0m deep driveway is shown as a typical two-car layout for guidance only. You can use the supplied materials to create a wider, narrower or differently shaped driveway, provided the finished paved area does not exceed approximately 27.5m² and the ground conditions and installation build-up are suitable.

FREE STANDARD DELIVERY INCLUDED – standard delivery to eligible mainland UK addresses is included, so there is no additional delivery charge for this driveway pack at checkout.

The paving uses standard 200 × 100 × 50mm concrete block paving, planned for a 90° herringbone internal pattern. Choose a single-colour finish or add a contrasting Charcoal soldier-course border.

You choose the paving colour and layout. UK Building Supplies organises the principal driveway materials. You or your chosen installer arrange the installation.

What Is Included?

Every Complete Two-Car Driveway Pack includes:

• 30m² of 200 × 100 × 50mm block paving – approximately 1,500 blocks in total
• 10 × approximately 850kg MOT Type 1 bulk bags
• 4 × approximately 850kg sharp/grit sand bulk bags
• 5 × 20kg kiln-dried jointing sand bags
• 1 × approximately 850kg 20mm ballast bulk bag for the perimeter edge restraint
• 6 × 25kg cement bags for the perimeter edge restraint
• Heavy-duty geotextile driveway membrane – sufficient to cover at least 30m²
• Standard delivery to eligible mainland UK addresses

Single-Colour Paving Options

If you choose a single-colour driveway, the full paving allowance is supplied in your selected colour:

• Brindle Only: approximately 1,500 Brindle blocks / 30m²
• Charcoal Only: approximately 1,500 Charcoal blocks / 30m²
• Buff Only: approximately 1,500 Buff blocks / 30m²

Paving Options With a Charcoal Border

If you choose a contrasting border, the 30m² paving allowance is divided between the main driveway colour and Charcoal blocks for a single 200mm-wide soldier course:

• Brindle with Charcoal Border: approximately 1,250 Brindle blocks / 25m², plus approximately 250 Charcoal blocks / 5m²
• Buff with Charcoal Border: approximately 1,250 Buff blocks / 25m², plus approximately 250 Charcoal blocks / 5m²

The calculated border occupies approximately 4m² on a standard 5.5m × 5.0m layout. The additional Charcoal allowance provides material for normal cutting and wastage.

Designed for a Typical Two-Car Driveway

The 5.5m × 5.0m measurement is an example two-car layout, not a compulsory driveway shape. The materials can be arranged to suit a different layout, but the finished paved area should remain within approximately 27.5m².

30m² of paving is supplied because part of the allowance is intended for normal cuts, breakages and wastage. The full 30m² should not be treated as guaranteed finished coverage.

The standard design uses a 90° herringbone pattern. Bordered options are calculated for a single Charcoal soldier course around a typical 5.5m × 5.0m layout. Irregular shapes, narrower driveways or layouts with a longer perimeter may alter the quantity of border blocks, edge-restraint materials and paving required.

Sub-Base and Laying Materials

The MOT Type 1 allowance is based on a typical domestic driveway build-up using approximately 100–150mm of compacted sub-base. Actual requirements can change depending on existing ground conditions, excavation depth and the intended vehicle loading.

The sharp/grit sand is supplied for the block-paving laying course. Kiln-dried sand is included for brushing into the completed paving joints.

Ballast and cement are supplied for constructing the concrete perimeter edge restraint or haunching required to secure the paving.

Heavy-Duty Driveway Membrane Included

A suitable heavy-duty geotextile membrane is included in sufficient quantity to cover at least 30m². The membrane helps separate the sub-base from the ground beneath it. The exact roll width or format supplied may vary depending on supplier availability.

Not every two-car driveway measures exactly 5.5m × 5.0m. If your proposed layout is wider, narrower, curved, irregularly shaped or close to the 27.5m² maximum finished area, send us your measurements, photographs and a simple sketch before ordering.

We can help assess the layout, calculate a more suitable materials package and create a visual design showing how the completed driveway could look. You do not need to force your project into one of our standard pack sizes.

Drainage Must Be Planned for Your Property

Drainage requirements are site-specific and are not included automatically within this standard pack. Falls, finished levels, ground permeability and the position of buildings, pavements and existing drains must be considered before installation.

Supply Only – Installation Is Not Included

This is a supply-only driveway materials pack. The following are not included:

• Installation or labour
• Excavation and waste removal
• Skip hire
• Compactors, mixers or other machinery
• Drainage channels, pipes or soakaway systems
• Additional edge restraints outside the standard layout
• Materials required because of unusually poor ground conditions or increased excavation depth

Always confirm the final specification and quantities with the person carrying out the installation before ordering.

Delivery and Ordering

Free standard delivery is included for eligible mainland UK addresses.

UK Building Supplies is a delivery-only supplier. Materials will be supplied together where possible, but deliveries may be made separately because paving and supporting materials can be dispatched by different manufacturers or supplying merchants.

Delivery timing depends on the products, delivery location, supplier availability, vehicle routing and suitable site access. Stock quantities displayed online are not live. If there is an availability or delivery issue, we will contact you after ordering.
