Natural stone characteristics

Lighter natural stone used on driveways can show tyre marks and oil staining more readily, so additional cleaning and maintenance may be required.
Installation guidance
Correct installation is important for driveway performance. Marshalls advises that sawn sandstone setts can be installed using either a suitable flexible or rigid construction depending on the application and site conditions. Where a full mortar bed is used, coat the underside of each sett with a suitable paving primer before laying to improve adhesion and help reduce draw-through from the bedding layer.
