Marshalls Casarta Slate Black is a premium Brazilian natural slate paving with deep black tones and a gently riven surface. Hand-selected by Marshalls for colour consistency, Casarta Slate is designed to create a bold, contemporary finish for patios, terraces, paths and modern garden landscaping.
The naturally clean-splitting slate gives each slab its own subtle variation in colour and texture while retaining the refined appearance expected from the Casarta range. The large-format sizes can be laid in regular or varied patterns depending on the look you want to achieve.

Natural slate characteristics
Casarta Slate is a natural stone product, so variation in colour, texture and natural markings is expected. Marshalls also notes that darker slate can sometimes show surface blemishes during installation; these normally weather in over time. Mixing slabs from across the pack as work progresses will help produce a balanced natural finish.
Installation guidance
Marshalls advises slurry backing or priming natural stone to improve adhesion and help reduce the risk of staining. Marshalls Paving Primer is recommended. Casarta Slate sizes and stated coverage are based on a 10mm joint.
Always follow current Marshalls natural stone installation guidance before laying. If Casarta Slate is used indoors, Marshalls recommends an appropriate water-based sealant.
